Wear: The 3pp Ez FIT Thumb Spica Splint is designed as a day or nighttime splint to gently protect thumb and wrist motion. Wear part or full time as needed.

Care: Hand wash with mild soap and lay flat to dry. If you choose to machine wash, place in a small mesh laundry bag. To prevent snags, close the Velcro when washing.  Lay flat to air dry. Regular washing will help extend the life of your splint.

I had surgery for de Quervain’s. I feel a lot better but still would like something to wrap on my thumb. Will this splint help?
The 3pp Ez FIT Thumb Spica Splint is a good choice if you need firm support that offers protection while still allowing you to use your fingers.  If you are post-surgery, you may want to remove the metal stay (push it out of the cover where it’s  open at the end of the thumb). You will then have a light-weight support with minimal restriction that acts as a “reminder” not to overdo things. We are glad to hear you are on your way to a full recovery. 

I have a lot of pain in my thumb and arm whenever I move my thumb. Will the 3pp Ez FIT Thumb Spica stop this?
The 3pp Ez FIT provides firm wrist and thumb support. By fully resting your thumb, you have a good chance of reducing the symptoms you are having. Wearing a splint may be only part of what is needed to assure you are treating yourself properly. If you are having severe symptoms, we suggest it would be helpful to see your doctor or a hand specialist to help determine the best treatment for you.

I am pregnant and having pain that my doctor said is de Quervain’s. Should I try this splint or something stronger?
The Ez Fit ThumSpica is very comfortable and it provides firm support to rest your wrist and thumb now.

Can the 3pp Ez Fit Thumb Spica be adjusted for more support?
Yes, the EZ FIT Thumb Spica does have a full length bendable stay that can be contoured to your arm to provide additional support. For best results, your healthcare provider or a hand specialist can adjust the stay to optimize it for a custom fit. 

The strap that holds my thumb inside the splint is too tight. Is there anything I can do?
The interior strap at the end of the thumb section can sometimes be too short on larger thumbs. We recommend one of two things. (1) Place your thumb on top of that strap and then wrap the longer strap around the thumb to hold it in place. (2) Cut the interior strap out of the inside of the splint, and then use just the exterior strap. 

I have searched for a splint that will help me hold my thumb straight. What is different about the Ez FIT from the others I have found online?
There are a lot of options in thumb splints. We chose to provide the Ez FIT Thumb Spica because it checked off all our requirements for an off-the-shelf brace.
