Wear & Care
Wear: Wear according to directions from your health care provider or as needed according to your symptoms. There is no restriction on how long to wear this splint. Wear a waterproof glove over the splint if working or playing in water
Care: Hand or machine wash in a small mesh laundry bag. To prevent snags, close the Velcro when washing. Lay flat to air dry.

How is this brace different from the neoprene brace I have?
The special stretch-memory fabric is only 3/8” thick and it conforms to the curves of your hand and thumb without feeling bulky. Unlike most neoprene materials, the brace is fully air permeable to help minimize and wick away sweat. The material is 100% latex-free and has no rubbery odor to it.
Will this limit me from using my hand?
You should be able to do most daily activities while wearing the 3pp Prima Thumb Brace. The straps are designed to comfortably contour around your hand and thumb without restriction, leaving your fingers free for movement. Remember, the purpose of a thumb brace is to rest or protect your thumb so you may need to adjust how you do things or eliminate some activities to allow for healing.
Can I wear this brace in water?
The 3pp Prima Thumb Brace is water resistant, but not waterproof. When submerging your hand in water, we recommend wearing a waterproof glove over your brace and going up a size in the glove.
How long the brace lasts will depend on what you do when you wear it. If you use it for light to moderate activities, you can expect the splint to last longer than if you are wearing it for heavy work. The Prima Thumb Brace is made with stretchable binding around the brace which will help prevent fraying. Regular cleaning of the brace will also help extend its life. If using daily, you may want to purchase a second brace to always have a clean one available.
Can I wear a glove over the brace?
Yes, the slim design of the Prima Thumb Brace makes it comfortable to wear under gloves, but you will likely have to go up a glove size. In cold weather when wearing heavier hand coverings, consider wearing a mitten instead of a glove if outside for long periods.
